KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 37 mm, 16.25 g, 1 h), Byzantion, circa 90-80. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; in field to left, monogram of ΔP; on throne, BY; in exergue, trident left. Müller 160. Beautifully toned and struck on an exceptionally broad flan. Tiny flan crack and the obverse double struck, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
